ArtBook ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to information we collect through artbook.com and related services.

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, update your profile, list artwork, place a bid, contact support, or subscribe to the newsletter. This may include your name, email, shipping address, phone number (optional), profile image, artist application details, and payment information (which is processed securely by Stripe — we never store full card numbers).

When you use ArtBook, we automatically collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this for security, fraud prevention, performance monitoring, and aggregate analytics — never to track you personally outside the Platform.

We use information to operate the Platform, process and fulfill orders, verify artist applications, send transactional emails (orders, bids, password resets), respond to support inquiries, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and — only with your opt-in — send marketing emails about new artworks and curated collections.

We do not sell your personal data. We share necessary shipping information (name, address) between buyer and artist solely for fulfilling an order. We share data with trusted service providers (Stripe for payments, hosting and email providers, fraud-detection services) bound by confidentiality. We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Platform.

We use first-party cookies for authentication, cart state, and remembering preferences. We use limited analytics cookies to understand aggregate Platform usage. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break login and checkout.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent for marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email). EU/EEA/UK residents have rights under GDPR; California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any right, email support@artbook.com from your account email address — we respond within 30 days.

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. After account closure, we delete personal data within 30 days, except where law requires us to retain certain transaction records (typically up to 7 years for tax and anti-fraud purposes). Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures: TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords (bcrypt), encrypted backups, role-based access control, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable any 2FA option that becomes available. Notify us immediately at support@artbook.com if you suspect your account has been compromised.

ArtBook operates globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence (including the United States), which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect transfers.

ArtBook is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@artbook.com and we will delete it.

Listings and artist profiles may include links to external sites (Instagram, personal portfolios). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies separately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent in-app notice before they take effect.
